BM-21 Hail Battery (TSBX08) Includes three resin and metal BM-21 Hail Rocket Launcher trucks and one Unit Card. The BM-21 Grad (Hail) is a direct descendant for the famous Katyusha rocket launcher of the Second World War. The box launcher, housing four rows of ten tubes, is mounted on a Ural 6x6 truck. The BM-21 can fire fin-stabilised 122mm rockets, which can be fitted with fragmentation, chemical, or incendiary warheads, up to 16km (10 miles). |
A new global political divide was formed between the Communist East and Democratic West. The West formed the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) in 1949, and in response the Warsaw Pact was formed by the Soviet Union and its allies, including East Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Poland in 1955. The Soviet Union’s and Warsaw Pact's most powerful forces are poised on the border with West Germany ready to strike at a moment’s notice. Soon the western workers will be free and the dawn of a new socialist age will begin! Click here to learn more about World War III: Soviet... Assembling the BM-21 Hail |
Tip: When referring to left or right-hand side in regards to a Team Yankee miniature, the orientation is determined as if looking at the vehicle from the rear. |
Step 1. Begin assembly by glueing the rear plate to the back of the multiple rocket launcher. | Step 2. Glue the crank on to the right-hand side of the rockets. | |
Note: The small peg fits into the small hole on the side of rocket launcher mount. | Below: The crank attached correctly. | Step 3. The rocket launcher fits into the rear of the truck. Do not glue it in place, so it can rotate freely. |
Because the rocket launcher is so big and heavy, it may be unstable at times. Instead of simply placing it into the hole in the truck bed, you may prefer to use rare earth magnets for improved stability. Rare Earth Magnets (XX105) are available through the online store here... |
