contains four FV433 Abbot self-propelled guns, six resin tank commander figures & one Unit Card. The FV433 Abbot self-propelled gun mounts a 105mm gun on a modified FV432 armoured personnel carrier chassis. Although its calibre is relatively small for a modern artillery piece, the 105mm gun fires a high-capacity shell that gives it an excellent performance. |
The Abbot provides close support for the armoured brigades, where its presence is much appreciated. The guns are very effective against infantry and light armour, as well as providing smoke screens to mask the defenders from enemy fire while repositioning. Assembling the Abbot Field Battery |
Step 1: Start by gluing the tracks to the sides of the hull. | Step 2: Next, attach the track guards to the side of the hull. |
Step 3: The FV433 Abbot self-propelled gun come with an open or closed commander's hatch. The open hatch is used when you wish to add a commander figure. This is useful when you wish to distinguish the platoon commander's vehicle from the rest of the platoon. |
Step 10: Next, attach the commander's hatch. | Step 11: Then add the 7.62mm AA MG. | Step 12: Glue the 105mm gun into the mantlet. |
Adding Rare Earth Magnets Alternatively, you may choose to glue rare earth magnets into the recess in the hull and to the bottom of the turret. Magnets are a quick and secure way of fixing your turrets to the hulls, as an alternative to the included plastic peg. Rare Earth Magnets (XX105) are available through the online store here... |
